We made a mirror for Ferrari F8!
This amazing project started with a customer request to make a replacement for a broken car mirror. In view of recent events, it has become difficult or even impossible to find spare parts, especially for such a rare car.
Working with a rare and expensive car is difficult, but we managed to arrange work with certified contractors to dismantle a broken mirror.
After dismantling, the electronics were pulled out of the mirror, and then we started scanning and finalizing the model.
The internal surfaces are quite complex, it took a lot of manual improvements.
Printed on Creality Ender 3 from Studia3D Filament Pet-G Original within 52 hours!
The part was printed without gluing with many internal fasteners.
Then we gave it to the paint shop, and there everything is as usual: primer, paint and varnish. We managed to achieve the perfect quality of the coating and the maximum match to the color of the car.
During installation, I had to slightly modify the inner walls so that the electronics fit in the new mirror. But everything went well, the mirror fell into place.
