Penza, 9 September 2020. PenzaNews.
The thematic exhibition "Hockey: Pages of History" was opened at the Museum of Sports of the Penza Region which operates in the "Voeykov" martial arts palace.
The center of the exposition is the figures of ice hockey players, printed on a 3D printer which look like ice. They depict the legends of world hockey - Alexander Ragulin and F. Esposito.
The duel of two stars complements the "exit" of another participant in the sporting events of those years - the famous "number 17" Valery Kharlamov, breaking through to the site through the "ice" block.
This project was implemented for the sports museum in Penza. The works included the creation of two compositions: "Hockey players throwing the puck" and "Hockey player breaking through a wall of ice".
The first stage of the work was 3D modeling of future objects of the exposition.
The transparent Relax from REC was chosen as the material so that the figures imitate an “icy” finish.
The shapes also had to transmit light which was point-set in the objects of the compositions.
For greater durability and wear resistance, we covered the figures with a special anti-vandal coating.
The process of printing the figures took 8 working days!
The figures had to be delivered to Penza which is 540 km away from our production! The figures were neatly packed in separate boxes, fixed and covered with a protective film.
