FFF Profiles and Factory Files for Simplify3D by Studia3D

This article will be useful for users of the Simplify3D program. If the program is not available, you can purchase the official version.

Simplify3D contains settings for various 3D printers. However, if you are faced with a situation where your 3D printer is not added to the Simplify3D database, or your 3D printer has been upgraded additionally, we suggest that you consider our options for profiles for various 3D printers in the Simplify3D program.

Please note that Simplify3D V5 supports all profiles for the fourth version.

Basic profiles Special profiles

To load a profile into Simplify3D use File -> Import FFF profile.

After successfully uploading the profile, select it in the process settings.

We noticed that working with FFF profiles is not always stable. Sometimes an old FFF is cached on the system and cannot be overwritten by the new version. That's why we added another file called "Factory". We recommend that you download the Factory File in the future and install it after installing the profile. We show how to do this below: File -> Open Factory File

And after opening the Factory File, you can get to work. It is not always necessary to do the download and installation in this order, but, as practice shows, sometimes only this method works. Carefully check your workspace settings after loading the Profile and Factory.

Attention! As of May 29, 2023, we have completely dropped support for FFF profiles. We only keep Factofy File versions up to date!
