Batch image processing like a professional tool. We do a lot like website developmentand support for already created ones. Creation of design, writing of thematic articles, Infill with media materials, etc. All this requires a lot of work when working with images. What if there are hundreds of these images? Especially when you need to ensure the speed of the site, which, as a result, requires the maximum compression of images without loss of quality. That is, to make the optimal image size and select the required format for the web.

Problem

You have probably heard more than once about such professional solutions as Photoshop or Pixelmator. These are really very powerful tools that are difficult to do without in the modern world. However, neither one nor the other can work with batch image processing. When I need to process, for example, 350 images with the same parameters. 350 times to open, modify, save PhotoShop? We started looking for the best solution to track other software vendors. And they found it! Fast, convenient, multi-platform!

XnConvert

Pay attention to the huge list of functions that the program can perform on files in batch mode. Incredible!

The program weighs practically nothing. Download and install instantly

Link to the developer site and the program: https://www.xnview.com/en/xnconvert/

The program is available for macOS, Windows, Linux... Which is very pleasing!

Instructions for use

After opening the program, we see a window for loading a group of pictures for editing. Fill in all the files for editing here.

Batch image processing

On the next tab, we sequentially select those actions that need to be performed over a group of images. In each operation, we configure the parameters of the action itself. So that the program understands not only “what to do”, but also “how to do it”. In our case, we need to resize all images. The size must be changed in such a way that the picture is not cropped, and the height is no more than 600 pixels.

Process many photos at once

The next step is to choose what we want to see at the output. We configure the output format and its parameters. Select the folder where you want to save the processed files. The file format must be jpg!

Processing a group of images

Click on the "Convert" button in the lower right corner of the window and just wait. Batch processing of images has started. After a few moments, the program will finish its work. If you have thousands of images, then you do not need to wait while the program processes the entire batch. With the files already processed, you can immediately.
