STUDIA3D presents a completed project — the «Turquoise Woman» art object, created using 3D printing.
The client is a sports clothing store. A large-scale sculpture was required for the entrance group.
The technical specifications included increased durability, as the object is located in a high-traffic area. The client deliberately chose 3D printing because it is the only technology that can create complex geometry under the given conditions.
We prepared a 3D model and adapted it for 3D printing technology: we optimized the geometry, divided it into many segments, and added technical holes and seats.
For rigidity, an internal metal frame was integrated into the sculpture’s body. The lower part was additionally filled with liquid plastic, which gives the support elements elasticity and stability.
Each segment was printed and processed separately: it was sanded, the joints were soldered, and it was primed. A high-gloss finish with high light reflection is used to emphasize the shape.
We painted all the elements separately and then assembled them into a single composition. This approach ensures the quality of the coating on difficult areas.
A glossy coating with a high coefficient of light reflection was applied, emphasizing the geometry of the shape.
A specialized box was made to transport the sculpture, taking into account its exact dimensions. We design individual packaging for each object and handle all logistics.
This project demonstrates that 3D printing is the only solution for complex interior shapes with high requirements for durability and aesthetics.
