The Studia3D team was tasked with creating a large‑scale hanging chandelier based on a custom design for the private interior of Vladimir Mukhin, the head chef of the White Rabbit restaurant.
The product required a high degree of detail, integration of built‑in lighting, and ensuring high reliability of the design for safe suspended mounting.
To realize the complex plasticity and geometry of the object, 3D printing technology was chosen. The use of additive manufacturing made it possible to reproduce all radii and internal transitions of the parts with high precision.
The individual printed segments of the housing were joined using precise soldering, followed by reinforcement and alignment of the joint seams.
The final finishing of the product included a full range of manual post‑processing work. All parts underwent layer‑by‑layer grinding to eliminate technological layering, after which specialized leveling primers were applied to the surface.
Since the chandelier has a composite structure and significant dimensions, the engineers at Studia3D designed a combined load‑bearing scheme. A steel embedded ring was integrated into the lower part of the housing.
This metal disc evenly distributes the mechanical load across the entire perimeter of the product, and the art object itself is securely held in place by the upper metal holders.
The vertical and lower hanging elements of the chandelier were also manufactured using 3D printing.
The use of additive technologies made it possible to reproduce the complex texture of each individual element while fully preserving the specified geometry and the identity of the forms in the batch.
The oval part of the chandelier was designed to accommodate the LED modules and wiring inside.
The internal architecture of the bowl was designed with the geometry of the lighting equipment in mind, which made it possible to compactly place the wiring and ensure the necessary thermal regulation of the system.
Particular attention was paid to the finishing coating: the main body of the chandelier received a deep dark graphite hue with a pronounced grainy matte texture that imitates the noble texture of natural stone.
The vertical and suspended elements are painted in contrasting accent colors.
The fully assembled and finished product was placed in a special individual packaging that ensures complete preservation of the finish coating and structural elements during transportation.
The chandelier was delivered to the site in an assembled form: the installation team only had to secure the upper metal holders on the ceiling metal bracket‑suspension and connect the built‑in lighting fixtures to the power supply.
The combination of 3D printing with metalworking and professional manual fine‑tuning made it possible to successfully create a functional and safe piece of interior art that fully complies with the author’s concept and the aesthetics of a modern interior.
