Painting

We provide coating of 3D objects with auto enamel, hand painting, etching, UV printing and aquaprinting.

Despite the rapid development of technology and the continuous improvement of 3D printers, not every detail that comes out of the machine can be considered a finished product. We all need to understand very well what the layer height or the positioning accuracy of the extruder is. To minimize the "effect" of 3D printing, in practice, they resort to post-processing and glossing.

In accordance with the customer's specifications or the impossibility of using a naturally rough part, in addition to glossing, we use painting. This method is also suitable for those who want to get a part in color, but the use of gypsum 3D printing does not meet the strength requirement.

Auto enamel

The simplest, but most common method is painting with auto enamel. This type of painting is good because it is possible to use almost all types of plastics. This method can easily get rid of seams and joints after the soldering process.

You can paint both an unprepared surface after XNUMXD printing and a surface after processing. The processing is standard: putty, several layers of primer, layers of the paint itself and, accordingly, the varnish - matte or glossy: depending on what we want to get at the end.

As an example - painting art objects in one of the restaurants of the Shokoladnitsa group. Thanks to this painting method, we got an even and glossy finish.

Hand painted

Hand painting is necessary in complex orders with requirements for high precision and detail of the applied drawing.

As an example, we will give a case for the manufacture of a large art object "Tron" for the State Museum of Sports in Sochi. The throne was an interpretation of an art object from the famous TV series "Game of Thrones", stylized as the Winter Olympic Games, which took place in 2014. The throne was painted by hand - in this case, other types of painting were not suitable.

Hand painting is a rather laborious process in which different types of paint can be used - it depends on the material from which the object is made... Before proceeding with painting, the surface must be carefully prepared, and after applying the pattern, cover it with several layers of varnish.

UV printing

The ideal solution when precise drawing is required. The level of surface preparation does not matter.

Moreover, the worse the surface, the better the adhesion to the paint layer - our specialists have seen this in practice. For example, the print will fit better on plywood than on a polished surface. This painting process is not cheap, but taking into account the speed and quality, it has a place to be in service.

Aquaprint

In our opinion, the most convenient and fast enough way. Aquaprint completely repeats the surface given to it, therefore, whether it is worth processing or not, depends on the detail and technical task.

If we talk about cost, then in this case the calculation is always individual. Unfortunately, it is impossible to calculate, for example, 3D printing - when our number of cubes corresponds to the cost. It is necessary to take into account a lot of factors: the cost of the applied material, the number of colors, the amount of surface treatment and preparation, the working time of the artist himself, etc.
