An order was received for the modeling and production of a model of the Makhachkala port based on sketches.

Since the customer's models were not adapted for 3D printing, it was necessary to re-model all buildings, ships and structures.

Before the printing process, work was carried out to create three-dimensional models.

The print models were prepared in three days.

Then we were faced with the task of printing all parts of the layout in a very limited time frame.

Difficulties arose with the printing of the main building, as it had a complex configuration and large dimensions. The building model was divided into several parts, and then the parts were glued together with dichloromethane.

But that is not all. In addition to the difficulties with large sizes, there were problems with small ones. Parts of some of the ships and cranes were so small that they also had to cut the models and print the small parts separately.

As a result, all elements of the future layout were completed in 3 days and sent to the customer.

Upon arrival of the parts of the model to Makhachkala, it turned out that it was necessary to complete a few more details. The next morning the layout should be at the presentation.

It took about 16 hours to manufacture and deliver to Makhachkala.

The additional parts were completed in three hours, and we rushed to the airport, hoping that some of the passengers would take the package with the parts and hand it over to the customer. But unfortunately, none of the passengers on flights departing at 23 and 1 o'clock agreed to deliver our package.

We have already decided to fly to Makhachkala on our own at 7 am, but in the queue for buying a ticket we came across a young man named Rustam, to whom we are very grateful! He met with the customer at the Makhachkala airport and handed over the coveted package.

The layout was presented in all its glory!

The example of the layout of the Makhachkala port once again shows how versatile the 3D printing technology is and how it can be applied in different areas of our life.
