Materialize, the world's leading provider of 3D printing software and services, has launched a new artificial intelligence (AI) tool to help customers save time and money when creating 3D models.

The tool, called Materialize e-Stage for Metal, uses machine learning algorithms to automatically determine the optimal orientation of a part on a print platform. This reduces the time and materials needed to create a part, and improves print quality.

“Materialise e-Stage for Metal is an example of how we use artificial intelligence to solve real problems for our customers,” said Fried Vanbeck, Chief Technology Officer at Materialize.

The tool has already been tested on several projects and proved to be effective. Materialize hopes the new AI tool will help speed up the process of creating 3D models and make it more accessible to a wide range of users.
