Description of the problem:

After each calibration with a sheet of paper or a calibration template and pressing "Return to Home", the extruder goes down and up. Each time after calibration, it goes astray by a few mm in absentia.

The solution:

The problem is not in calibration, but in the “failure” of the Z-axis limit switch, the force required to operate it becomes inconsistent, which is why the height from the table to the nozzle begins to vary from print to print. In this case, it needs to be replaced.

Z Axis Ender for Ender

Temporary solution:

If your printing platform is set exactly to the horizon without distortions (the distance to the nozzle is the same everywhere), then in this case you can correct the height of the print head relative to the table right during printing. To do this, at the moment when the printer starts printing the border, manually adjust the Z axis. If you stand facing the printer, then clockwise movement raises the axis, counterclockwise lowers it. It is most convenient to turn it with the help of a coupling connecting the motor and the lead screw. During the movement there will be resistance and “footsteps” will be felt, as it should be.
