Let's talk about the 3D printing market in Russia

?

I started 3D printing in the service industry about 5 years ago. At that time, the market was a bunch of notorious makers, including myself.

?

Of course, there were companies that immediately entered the market with multi-million dollar investments, but as a rule, these companies sold 3D equipment, expensive equipment! There were also plastic manufacturers, but this is a separate topic, which I will describe a little later. The service market remained empty, but not simple. In order to somehow compete with the monopolists with their industrial equipment and expensive software in terms of price, timing and quality, it was necessary to be sophisticated on cheap equipment, which entailed a daily personal increase in skill (qualification) when printing on personal printers. For the correct choice of material and competent post-processing of products, it was necessary to include knowledge of physics, mathematics and chemistry. And you know what?

?

It paid off! Increasingly, I see makers wear suits, white shirts and shoes instead of sweaty T-shirts! What does it mean? That more and more people are investing in 3D technology! As orders or as equity capital, it is not important, something else is important: The business process of additive manufacturing itself fits into a model that was born at the intersection of MBA management technologies and accumulated technological experience in a revolutionary method of obtaining a finished product. The trend of this market requires, together with the right business case, to explore the depth of engineering knowledge in this area. Only those will remain on the market who were able to combine the incompatible on the territory of the Russian Federation in time until this moment! That is why, in the recent past, makers are already stepping on the heels of 3D monopolies. 3D printing is a revolutionary not only in terms of an alternative type of production, but also a revolution in terms of the economic development of the country as a whole! This is how the growth of the technical potential of the makers is the driver of economic development! Everything that has been done around us was done either by nature or by engineers! It is not for nothing that maker is translated from English not only as “developer”, but also “creator”! Since 3D printing is changing the minds of engineers, it will soon change the whole world!
