The work week begins, and we continue to resolve issues. Including those related to sanctions.

It is no secret that the sanctions have affected many Russian companies, but today we will talk about how they affected us.

In general, our work in the field of 3D printing does not depend much on European and American components and consumables. Nevertheless, prices for everything are rising both from Chinese and Russian suppliers. We work, we consider, we try to keep the optimal values ​​for prices.

If the trouble is small in terms of components and consumables, then with regard to IT systems, it is more difficult here. On our site, we had different payment options, several payment systems were connected. There are currently two left!

Problems with plugins on the site

In addition, we were faced with the inability to pay for foreign products in the form of plug-ins for the site that perform certain work. These areas of the site have moved to a minimal mode of operation just to keep the features afloat. 

We are talking about the API of foreign services. For example, Google services have been disabled, now we cannot pay for the Google Maps plugin, there are failures in the aggregator, as sanctions have been imposed on Russian banks. 

The solution to the issue may be opening a legal entity abroad or switching the site to Russian APIs.

Another problem with IT products was the disabling of the intelligent translation of the G-Translate website. By the way, while the plugin was working, the site was translated into 12 languages ​​and INDEXED in search engines of different countries. Now the translation into two languages ​​is working, but it is purely mechanical and does not allow the site to be indexed in search engines.

The reason is the same: sanctions against Russian banks. We will deal with this issue, we hope to restore working capacity soon.

Delivery and work with foreigners

And of course, delivery and processing of orders from foreign buyers. PayPal and Fondy systems have suspended work, which means that customers cannot pay for the service. In addition to problems with payment, there are problems with delivery. Parcels are very delayed. Several deals with European clients fell through. And also due to the instability of the exchange rate, we had to disable payment in foreign currency. We plan to return the ability to pay in foreign currency, but this will not happen before the work of payment systems is restored.

Social Networks

It is worth noting that the direction of development of social networks has also changed. We still continue to post material to social networks blocked in the Russian Federation (including Twitter* and Instagram*), but along with this, we began to actively develop the VK page.  Moreover, the Vkontakte platform has a user-friendly interface, is not full of informational garbage and is not yet replete with infogypsy. As for the Facebook page*,  then we completely stopped conducting it, we do not plan to resume it in the near future.

Rejection of the old messenger

Therefore, based on the latter, we have changed the messenger for contacting the client. Now it is Telegram, and this choice is connected not only with the political situation, but directly with the strategic planning of the company. We changed the data on the site, removed the buttons and the ability to write directly to WhatsApp *.
