Our first article in the subject magazine "Additive Technologies". 3rd edition of 2018, page 39. Many thanks to the supervisor, associate professor of the Department of Materials Processing Technologies of the Moscow State Technical University, MSTU named after NE Bauman, Igor Vladimirovich Kocheshkov, Elena Purtova and the editor-in-chief of the magazine - Tatyana Karpova!

We treat 3D printing as a separate production process, comparable to, for example, milling, casting or laser cutting. Like other types of production, 3D printing has its own technological parameters, its own accuracy, its own tolerances, in the end, its final product. But how to identify, how to predict the result in terms of future product strength or accuracy? How to relate this result to technological parameters? Every day more and more customers are using 3D printing to obtain a finished, working product. Each order requires an individual approach, but sometimes it is limited to the position “until you try, you will not understand. As a rule, there is very little information, and what is available is very difficult to access and does not always turn out to be true. In order to predict the result and give quality guarantees, we began to engage in research. As a team that every day solves problems in the field of XNUMXD printing precisely from the production side, it is important for us to fully understand what we can offer the customer not only as a prototype, but also as a finished, working, full-featured product. There are plans to carry out a number of experiments with various materials, "fill" statistics and make a comparative analysis. I really want to dive a little deeper, into the structure itself, conduct a study of the break point, clarify the effect of porosity, etc. And the next step is to conduct a study on the actual accuracy of FFF printing, what it depends on and what factors affect it. In one word, work tirelessly!

We believe in this technology, this is the future!
