A customer contacted us: the Chemistry Department of Moscow State University.

As you can imagine, such polyamide structures cannot be printed out just like that. Especially when you need to get into the customer's budget. Why?

  1. Lack of rigidity. With thin and very flexible connecting rods, but heavy knots, the structure is flimsy. Task: to choose the thickness of the rods so that they could hold the nodes. The knots also need to be lightened!

We decided to make the nodes hollow. The wall thickness was specially selected for polyamide printing. There are special holes for pouring out excess powder.

An additional and important task was to bring the model into compliance with the requirements of models for 3D printing.
